Eban Ebai, PhD
Dr Eban is the Chief Executive Officer of the African Center for Justice Security and Rights. He is a Criminal Jurist withan extensive knowledge on criminal justice and security sector reforms. He is an expert in quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis.
Dr Eban was a National Research Foundation (NRF) Chair in the African Security and Justice Programs, with the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre of Criminology, Faculty of Law, and University of Cape Town, South Africa. He moved to CLEEN Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria as the Deputy Director Programs, a post he held until he joined the African Center for Justice Security and Rights (ACJSR) in MD-USA in January of 2013. As an Associate Professor of laws, Dr Eban has a huge teaching experience that runs through several Universities including but not limited to, the University of Limerick, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and the University of Dschang, Cameroon. His International development duties took him through many countries in Europe, Africa, North and South America as well as in the South Pacific.
Dr Eban holds a PhD in Law from the University of Limerick, Ireland; An LLM from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife Nigeria; and a BA Law from the University of Yaounde Cameroon. He has published several chapters in books, monographs and academic articles in reputable national and international peer review journals.
